“I started using Recovery twice a day. It had already taken away the redness and the size began diminishing. But two months later it’s completely flat and the tiny dot left will no doubt be gone within the next few weeks.” – Annalisa S.

HYPERKERATOSIS

Hyperkeratosis is a skin condition that results in the thickening of the outermost layer of the skin, known as the epidermis. This excessive growth of keratinocytes, which are cells responsible for producing keratin, leads to the formation of rough and scaly patches on the skin. These patches can vary in size, shape, and color and may appear on different parts of the body, such as the hands, feet, elbows, knees, and scalp.

There are several types of hyperkeratosis, each with its own specific causes and characteristics. The most common type is called keratosis pilaris, which often appears as small bumps on the skin and is believed to be caused by a buildup of keratin in the hair follicles. Other types include actinic keratosis, which is caused by sun exposure and can sometimes develop into skin cancer, and seborrheic keratosis, which appears as wart-like growths and is more commonly seen in older individuals.

Hyperkeratosis can also be a symptom of an underlying medical condition, such as eczema, psoriasis, or ichthyosis. It can also be a result of constant rubbing or friction on the skin, as seen in calluses and corns. In some cases, it may develop as a reaction to certain medications or chemicals.

If you have hyperkeratosis, we recommend using NeoGenesis Recovery serum twice daily, applying it to clean, dry skin. With regular use, this serum can help to reduce the appearance of hyperkeratosis and improve the overall texture and tone of the skin. Say goodbye to thick, rough patches and hello to smoother, healthier-looking skin with NeoGenesis Recovery serum.
