“My client has struggled with skin cancer for 40 years. She had skin cancer surgery on her cheek. The scar grew into the size of dime in the matter of a month. She started using the NeoGenesis products and I saw the difference in the healing and redness of the scar. Her overall skin tone and firmness is improving, and the hyperpigmentation is less splotchy. After 3 months I am seeing a tremendous improvement!” – Edie Carpenter

SKIN CANCER SURGERY SCARRING

Scarring from cancer surgery, also known as post-surgical scarring or surgical scars, is a common side effect of skin cancer treatment. Skin cancer is the abnormal growth of cells in the skin that can spread to other areas of the body if left untreated. Surgery is one of the main methods used to remove skin cancer and prevent it from spreading.

During skin cancer surgery, the doctor will remove the cancerous cells and some of the healthy tissue surrounding it. This is done to ensure that all of the cancer cells are removed from the affected area. While this procedure is necessary for treating skin cancer, it can also result in scarring.

Scarring occurs when the body produces excess collagen to repair the damaged tissue caused by surgery. Collagen is a protein responsible for giving the skin its elasticity and firmness. When there is an injury to the skin, the body sends white blood cells to the area to initiate the healing process. These cells release collagen, which forms scar tissue.

In some cases, scarring from cancer surgery can be minimal and fade over time. However, in other cases, it may be more noticeable and permanent.

NeoGenesis Oncology friendly skin care products are designed to hydrate and nourish with ingredients that naturally replenish the skin while helping reduce overall downtime. They deliver instant hydration and cooling relief while soothing redness and irritation. Our patented S²RM® technology harnesses the skin’s natural regenerative power and essentially restores to the skin what was there before it was damaged.

NeoGenesis medical grade products are formulated to be gentle and non-irritating to the skin. This is particularly important for clients undergoing oncology treatments, as their skin may be more sensitive and prone to irritation.
