“I suffer from Graves disease and Thyroid Eye Disease (TED). There are very little treatment options for TED available in Australia and what is offered is preventative rather than treating the cause. My treatment consisted of oral and intravenous steroids to assist in the inflammation in an effort to preserve the optic nerve and prevent long term damage. This treatment somewhat helped my TED although my appearance will forever be changed.

My GP has attributed my dermatitis (perioral) to the continued disruption to my immune system and the long term use of steroids resulting in a steroid withdrawal reaction. The dermatitis is predominately around my nose, eyes and chin. It feels like a burn – often stinging, tender to touch and itchy. I have tried long term antibiotics (doxycycline), Rozex (metronidazole), tea tree products, sulfur masks, cicaplast cream, and a range of other “drug store” cleansers and creams for 12 months without any success.

I was recommended to try NeoGenesis by my injector – Skin Solutions, based in Canberra. They ordered the Ultimate Pro-Post Treatment Kit. I started using the products as recommended on the protocol card last Friday and had an incredible result by the following Monday. A huge difference for me is the general level of inflammation on my entire face has drastically reduced.

Given the change in my appearance from the TED, I already lack confidence in my appearance and when I developed the dermatitis it really hit hard. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your products. Not only do they help with skin concerns but they help build confidence. They have given me hope and they have truly made a difference to my day to day life in such a short amount of time.

I’m now so nervous about running out of product that I have put a reminder in my phone to re-order.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for making such a huge difference in my life.” – Amy M.

PERIORAL DERMATITIS

Perioral Dermatitis is a skin condition that primarily affects the face, particularly around the mouth, nose, and eyes. It can be identified by red, bumpy rashes that may appear similar to acne or eczema. The exact cause of this condition is not known, but it is believed to be triggered by factors such as hormonal imbalances, weakened immune system, and the use of topical steroids. This is why individuals with autoimmune diseases like Graves disease and Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) may be more prone to developing perioral dermatitis.

While there is no cure for perioral dermatitis, it can be managed with proper skincare and lifestyle choices. Using gentle, non-irritating products, avoiding triggers like topical steroids, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can help prevent flare-ups. It is also important to consult with a dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment, as certain medications may worsen the condition.

So if you’re struggling with perioral dermatitis or any other skin condition, remember to consult with a professional and invest in gentle, effective skincare products. Ultimately, taking care of our skin goes beyond just improving our appearance, it is also about taking care of your overall well-being.
