PROFESSIONAL PROTOCOL
It is recommended to prepare the skin for a minimum of two weeks before the peel treatment with Cleanser, Recovery and Barrier Renewal Cream to strengthen the skin and improve results.
STEP 1: Help your client settle into the treatment by dispensing a few drops of essential oils onto your palms. Place your palms over your client’s face and instruct them to take a deep breath in to invigorate the senses. Leave your palms in place for another minute while encouraging deep breathing to help your client relax.
STEP 2: Remove any eye or lip makeup with Erase the Day. Double cleanse with Cleanser to remove any additional impurities as well as balance the pH of the skin. Remove the cleanser with 4 x 4 wipes.
STEP 3: Prepare the skin for the chemical peel with the Enzyme Crème Mask. Apply a thin layer to the skin and leave on, with or without steam, for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove with a warm wet towel or sponges.
STEP 4: Perform any extractions, if necessary. Cleanse the skin with Cleanser post extractions.
STEP 5: Degrease the skin with the solution of choice. Protect the eye area with moistened cotton pads. Protect the lips and side of the nostrils with petroleum jelly or another occlusive product.
STEP 6: Proceed with the chemical peel treatment following the peel directions for application, length of treatment and neutralization of the peel if required.
STEP 7: Mist the skin with Moisturizing Mist. Allow the mist to settle into the skin.
STEP 8: Apply Recovery to the face and neck, including around the eye area. Follow with Booster to the face and neck.
STEP 9: Apply Eye Serum, patting gently around both eyes and over lips.
STEP 10: Apply Barrier Renewal Cream to the face and neck.
STEP 11: Apply mineral sunscreen if the treatment is during the day.

CHEMICAL PEEL
A chemical peel creates a controlled burn to improve the skin’s appearance.
A superficial or light chemical peel penetrates most of the epidermis, a medium depth chemical peel penetrates the full epidermis into the papillary dermis and a deep chemical peel penetrates to the mid-reticular dermis.
Chemical peels can be used on your face, neck, hands, chest or back to treat acne, reduce fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and sun damage.
