“I started using NeoGenesis after finishing radiation treatment. As you can see from the photos, my skin was sore to the touch and I felt very crispy. I put Recovery on last night and wanted to see if it worked. After 8-10 hours, I didn’t have to put any Lidocaine or Neosporin on. It felt so good, I did not want to put other products on. After one application, I can tell you I have not felt this kind of relief from any other products.

I used Recovery serum twice a day, morning and evening, Intensive Moisturizer an hour later and Moisturizing Mist mid-day. After 7 days, I had significant healing of the raw spots and the peeling in general. After 14 days, my pain level was at a zero. Discomfort still existed, but only when clothing rubbed against my skin. The skin that has healed was not sensitive to the touch, only the areas that were raw or those that had peeled and not completely healed.  Tighter fitting clothing was now better so there was no rubbing on either the peeled or partially healed skin areas.” – Diane N.

RADIATION BURNS

Skin care for radiation burns is an important aspect of treatment for individuals who have undergone radiation therapy. Radiation therapy is a common form of cancer treatment, but it can also cause significant damage to the skin. The high-energy x-rays used in radiation therapy can damage cells, leading to redness, irritation, and even blistering of the skin. Proper skin care is essential to help manage these side effects and minimize discomfort for patients.

One of the key principles of skin care for radiation burns is keeping the affected area clean and moisturized. This will not only promote healing but also prevent infections, which can be particularly dangerous for individuals with weakened immune systems due to cancer treatment. Patients are advised to use mild, fragrance-free soaps and lukewarm water to gently clean the affected area. Harsh chemicals or rough scrubbing should be avoided as they can cause further damage to the skin.

In addition to keeping the affected area clean, moisturizing is crucial for managing radiation burns. NeoGenesis Oncology friendly products provide crucial support for your skin during cancer treatment, helping to alleviate the impact of radiation treatment.

Our gentle, yet effective skincare is toxic-free and packed with healthy ingredients free of any contraindications. Simple topical application of these products should help mitigate redness, irritation, and pain.
