“CD had a double mastectomy, 6 rounds of chemo and then 18 rounds of radiation for breast cancer. She has very fair, sensitive skin and tends to burn. She was a little worried about how her skin will burn during radiation. Her oncology nurse told her hydrate every day and also noted to expect sensitivities, discomfort, and itchiness and that it can continue to get worse even after the radiation is complete.

She started the NeoGenesis products 2 weeks before radiation, as instructed. She used Recovery serum, essential oil, Barrier Renewal Cream 3-4 times daily and Moisturizing Mist throughout the day, as needed.

Mid-way through treatments her radiation oncologist and assistant said they thought her skin looked amazing! She feels like her skin is beautiful.

Post-radiation: Her skin is more tan then red and only some areas were affected more, specifically where the stitches were and under the arm where the skin folds and rubs. We recommended increasing the products to 5-6x day. She applied a lot more of products 2 weeks after radiation was complete and it did help.” – Holly Brown

RADIATION BURNS

One of the most common treatments for breast cancer is radiation therapy, which involves targeting high-energy X-rays at the affected area to kill cancer cells. While this treatment can be effective in fighting cancer, it can also have some side effects on the skin.

Radiation therapy can cause a range of skin reactions, from mild redness and irritation to more severe burns and peeling. This is because the high-energy rays not only target cancer cells but also damage healthy cells in their path. As a result, many patients experience changes in the appearance and texture of their skin during and after radiation therapy.

To help alleviate these side effects, many women turn to skincare products specifically designed for those undergoing radiation treatment. NeoGenesis offers a range of products that are specifically formulated to help soothe and promote healing of the skin during and after radiation therapy.

NeoGenesis skincare products also provide vital hydration for dry and damaged skin. Many patients undergoing radiation therapy experience intense dryness and flakiness on their skin. By using NeoGenesis products, which are rich in moisturizing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and glycerin, patients can help restore their skin’s natural moisture levels and improve its overall appearance.

NeoGenesis skincare products are free from harsh chemicals and fragrances that could further irritate already sensitive skin. This makes it a safe and gentle option for those going through radiation therapy.
